We are actively working to increase the number of organizations signing up. We want to provide as many opportunities to the youth in the community to choose a career that is of interest to them. The benefits of this program are immense. This is a primary tool in promoting students to enter the workforce in each local community.
Just click the link above to register. We will soon be placing direct access on this site as well. If you have any questions, send them to tpatterson@lincolncountyja.org.
There is a great new way to donate to Junior Achievement. You can visit the North Alabama website at www.janaonline.org. Click on the donate button, and you will be allowed to select your location. Just click on “Lincoln, TN” and that is it! Your donation remains right here in the Lincoln County community.
It was a pleasure meeting with these individuals to discuss the JA programs. Taking time out of a busy day is not easy, but everyone was more than willing to spend time reviewing what JA has to offer the youth in the local school system. I hope that partnerships follow and look forward to the possibility of working with everyone.
I wanted to let everyone know of a great way to help JA raise funds for our programs. JA is having a Bowl-A-Thon in August that is very popular. It is also a great way to spend some time with friends while supporting a worthy cause.
Teams will receive a t-shirt as well as be eligible for door prizes. The cost per person is $15.00, which provides you the opportunity to bowl three games, including shoes. You can’t beat that! Since it is a fundraiser, we like to challenge those participating to raise $100 in support of their efforts. Remember, all funds raised for Lincoln County stay here!

This was the first group of volunteers to present the JA program in Lincoln County. What an adventure it was! These volunteers tackled some of the largest groups of children (often 60 in a class) with the highest level of professionalism. My hat is off to them!
One thing was for certain. The children were rewarded and equipped with the knowledge that they need to make sound financial decisions. The volunteers were rewarded with an experience unlike any other.
I am currently seeking volunteers for the upcoming school year. Organizations can volunteer any amount of volunteers…the more the better! We have very flexible programs, including some that require a one hour commitment per week for 6 weeks, to those that require a commitment of one day only. All age groups of children are available.
If you would like to volunteer but are unable to, you may sponsor a class for $250/class. All donations stay in Lincoln County.
I can bring you one of the instructor kits if you would like to see what it involves. They are organized in a very user friendly format. Anyone can effectively lead a class by following the teacher’s guide.
If you are interested, please contact me at tpatterson@lincolncountyja.org. I look forward to hearing from you!
